The objective of this assignment is to introduce the subtractive 2-d numeric fabrication processes, focusing on the technique through the use of a laser cutter. the model was to be constructed with planar sections and assembled using an egg-crate technique. our departure for this project was to introduce geometries into the form that began as a single volume at the ends, then delaminates into numerous volumes in the middle. this organizational strategy shapes volume around space, therefore not just thinking of the piece as a single massing.
